He has been a brilliant backup for Aaron Ramsdale this season. Nevertheless, he has failed to make a big enough impression on Arteta to warrant first-team football.

Reports are claiming that the Arsenal keeper has already said his goodbyes around the Emirates. The German was a prime target for Fulham. But, now Newcastle has emerged as a potential candidate for the signature of the German.
The Magpies wanted to sign the 29-year-old during the summer transfer window. However, priority was given to other targets arriving at the club.
