Newcastle alerted to Eden Hazard signing possibility

Chelsea

According to ESPN, Newcastle United have been alerted on the possibility of signing Real Marid forward Eden Hazard in the January transfer window.

Following the takeover by the Saudi Public Investment Fund, Newcastle have been linked with a number of players like Antony Martial, Eric Baily, Philippe Coutinho, Alexandre Lacazette. Eden Hazard is the latest player to join the potential target list of Newcastle ahead of the January transfer window.

Newcastle owners have kept a reported budget of £190m for the January transfer window. And are keen to bring in new faces to bolster the squad.  Hazard has suffered a crisis of confidence following his dream move to Santiago Bernabeu. Constant injury issues have restricted Hazard to just a total of just 52 appearances for Real Madrid. In this time he has scored five goals and nine assists.

Carlo Ancelotti’s comment on Hazard after the El Clasico victory

Hazard was an unused sub in the El Clasico victory over Barcelona. Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti after the game publicly came out and said that “the problem that Hazard has right now is he has a coach who prefers another player.”. Carlo Ancelotti did however praise his work ethic afterwards.

Real Madrid are looking to recoup a chunk of the €100 million they spend on Hazard in 2019. Madrid are looking to raise funds for the potential big-money signing of PSG’s Kylian Mbappe and Dortmund’s Erling Haaland next summer. Madrid are hoping they can get a fee of around  €50m forHazard in the January transfer window.

Alongside Newcastle United, Hazard’s previous club Chelsea also hold interest in a move for the Belgium captain. Eeden Hazard was one of the best in the world during his time in England. He scored 110 goals and set up a further 92 assists in 352 appearances for Chelsea.

With his manager’s remarks after the El Clasico, Hazard may be tempted to move away from the Santiago Bernabeu. And move back to England in hope of finding his best form yet again.
