Liverpool boss fed up with player’s easy-going attitude

Liverpool FC

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is fed up with new signing Arthur Melo‘s laid-back attitude in training. This is according to journalist Manu Heredia who has reported that Klopp even wants to cut his loan at Liverpool short. Arthur joined Liverpool on loan on the deadline day as an emergency signing. He joined as a backup in the midfield owning to the injuries to many key players of the squad

The Reds saw most of their midfield player out of action following injuries to Jordan Henderson, Thiago, Naby Keita, and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain. Consequently, Arthur was brought in from Juventus to paper over the cracks and provide some respite. However, since joining Liverpool, Arthur has played only 13 minutes for them. He is yet to start any match for the Reds. Klopp spoke of him earlier and said:

“Arthur now needs just football – and training, especially, that’s how it is. He wasn’t in team training for a while at Juve, so he needs proper team training – and that’s what we (Liverpool) are doing with him.”

The Liverpool manager further added:

“He is doing well, he is really giving his absolute all in training, we have to be careful with him as well and then we will see if we can use him.”

However, now, we are getting reports opposite to what is being said by Klopp. Only time will tell how the Arthur-Liverpool saga pans out.

Liverpool have had a slow start to the season

Meanwhile, Liverpool have had a very slow start to the season. They have failed to build on their momentum after winning the community shield against Manchester City earlier this season. Moreover, they have won only twice in the season out of their six possible games. They have had a win and a loss in their group stage of the Champions League. The international break will be a welcome respite for the Reds. Klopp will have some much-needed time to tweak his squad after an intense few months.
