Both Liverpool and Arsenal are looking to sign Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma at the end of this summer.
According to The Sun, Brighton is demanding a hefty fee of £40 million for their midfielder Yves Bissouma. The 24-year-old midfielder has looked impressive under Graham Potter. The Mali international has made 34 Premier League appearances this season so far. Bissouma has played a crucial role for Brighton helping them surviving the relegation battle this season.
With Bissouma now interested in playing some European football, both Liverpool and Arsenal look keen on signing the Mali midfielder. Arsenal is having a miserable season and thus they would like to add on some fresh legs to their squad in this summer’s transfer window.
While on the other hand, Liverpool has also struggled through their season with a lack of squad depth. Jurgen Klopp would be eager to get some fresh legs in the midfield after Georginio Wijnaldum departs this summer. Bissouma might be a good fit for the Dutch replacement as both have a little similar style of play.
Apart from Liverpool and Arsenal, the newly formed Premier League Champions Manchester City has also been linked with the Brighton midfielder. Although Pep Guardiola already has some world-class midfielders in his team, he is always keen on maintaining a powerful bench.
