Latest Farhad Moshiri news will leave the Everton fans fizzing

Everton FC

According to a report from The Mirror, Everton FC owner Farhad Moshiri is reportedly looking to sell the club. Hearing this, Everton fans will be buzzing as during his time the club only went through profound mediocrity.

However, the Toffees boss has splashed well over £500 million during his time at the Goodison Park outfit. But that resulted in very little effect as the club slipped further through the ranks in the Premier League. In fact, one could argue that the money spent by the 67-year-old are mostly bad investments, involving some peculiar decisions and appointments in that timeframe by the club. It is about time he should leave, something Everton fans will love to hear.

The news outlet, The Mirror, reported on Monday that as many as four potential suitors approached to buy out the club from Moshiri. The total purchase price can go as high as north of £1 billion for the blue side of Merseyside.

It will be difficult to point out the positive things Moshiri did for Everton. Apart from the new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, there aren’t many good things to list during his spell at the club. Although knowing the Toffees’ luck, certainly there will be hiccups on the way.

Moshiri handled this as any of his other little side projects, pretending to be an agent. Whereas he should stay clear of the football side of things, he involved himself too much in that matter. Not only did he downgrade the club, but he did so by spending a lot of his wealth from his pocket.

It will be fair to say Everton is now not a force to be reckoned with in English football. They are not a Top 6 Premier League club anymore, which they once were. However, with a new takeover and a serious owner at the helm, hopefully, things can be better for them.
