Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma has backed opener KL Rahul, who has been struggling with poor form with the bat recently. During a post-match conference after India’s six-wicket win over Australia in Delhi on February 19, Rohit said, “When you are playing on pitches like these, you need to find your methods of scoring runs.” He added that different individuals in the team would have different methods of scoring runs and urged KL Rahul to devise his own method of scoring on spinning surfaces in India.
Rohit also emphasized the importance of everyone in the team coming together for a big series like the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He acknowledged that there has been talking around Rahul’s form recently, but the team would continue to back him.
