Kean Bryan’s early retirement: Man United players bid farewell

Following Kean Bryan’s forced early retirement, a number of current and former Manchester United players have moved to show their support for the former Manchester City player.

In 2021, Kean Bryan suffered an ACL injury that kept him out of action for roughly 18 months. His inability to make a full recovery ultimately led to his early retirement from professional football, following medical advice.

On November 1, his birthday, in an emotional Instagram post, Bryan shared that he had to end his career at the age of 27.

Manchester United players bid farewell

Several Manchester United players bid farewell to him in response to his announcement on Instagram.

Scott McTominay wrote,

All the best brother, lots of love,”

Eric Bailley responded by saying,

All the best to you and your family my friend.”

Former Man United player Ravel Morrison wrote,

Brother, I wish you all the best on your next chapter, we had some long drives together but real good times, was an honour to play with you & an honour to call you a real good friend.”

Kean Bryan’s professional career

Kean Bryan was born in Manchester and was part of their youth team. He made his professional debut while on loan at Bury in 2014, showcasing his potential as a versatile defender. His performances didn’t go unnoticed, and in 2018, he secured a move to Sheffield United, which marked a significant step in his career.

Kean Bryan played a pivotal role in Sheffield United’s successful campaign to gain promotion to the Premier League. Following a loan spell with Bolton Wanderers, he made his Premier League debut in 2020.

In 2021, Kean scored his first and only goal in the Premier League against Manchester United.

Kean Bryan’s career was cut short due to unforeseen circumstances. However, he had shown glimpses of promise and potential, leaving a mark as an upcoming talent in English football. His story serves as a reminder of the resilience and challenges that can define a professional athlete’s journey.
