€60m price tag set for Manchester United target Dani Olmo

Manchester City

RB Leipzig have reportedly set a €60m price tag for Manchester United target Dani Olmo. It is also reported that RB Leipzig will be willing to sell the attacking midfielder in the January transfer window.

Dani Olmo had a fantastic debut campaign in the Bundesliga as he registered 19 goal contributions. Olmo also featured for Spain in their impressive run to the semi-finals in UEFA Euro 2020.

The Spanish attacking midfielder has been restricted to only 3 appearances in the 2021/22 season due to injury. Olmo is a very versatile player, he can feature anywhere across the front three or midfield.

Barcelona and Manchester City also keen on Dani Olmo

Alongside Manchester United, Barcelona and Manchester City are also keeping tabs on the RB Leipzig attacker Dani Olmo. Olmo spend seven years in the Barcelona academy before leaving for Dianmo in 2014. Barcelona were keen on singing Olmo before RB Leipzig snatched him up. And are interested in his services in the January transfer window. But they are still under massive financial debt. And would find it impossible to meet RB Leipzig’s €60m valuation.

Manchester City interest in Dani Olmo is very obvious as he is a versatile forward who can play across the frontline and score and assist goals. And with Raheem Sterling potentially looking for an exit out of the club, Olmo can be a good replacement. But he still isn’t the out and out centre forward the club are crying out for.

On the other hand, Manchester United’s interest in Dani Olmo makes less sense. Manchester United manager ole Gunnar is already struggling to give game time to all of his attacking options. Donny van de Beek has only played 5 minutes of Premier League action this term. United’s priority in the next transfer window is to get in a ball-winning defensive midfielder.
