Chelsea to complete three potential signings before the transfer window opens

Chelsea

Chelsea could make three signings even before the January transfer window opens. Chelsea‘s January transfer window could get a head start as they look to sign players ahead of the transfer window. As Todd Boehly moves in a rapid pace to sign players for the squad. They have already agreed on a deal with RB Leipzig‘s Christopher Nkunku. Although that is just the tip of the iceberg. With Graham Potter needing to sign new players for the squad, they have been quite busy this World Cup break. Chelsea looks quite aggressive about signing young players from all around the world. Although teen players won’t be able to help them up the Premier League table, but they are definitely envisioning a future project for the club.

Chelsea to be very active in the transfer window

Chelsea have shifted their focus on signing young players who can be the future of the club. Brazilian midfielder Andrey Santos and Ivorian striker David Datro Fofana are the new names who have joined the list. Datro Fofana have even completed his medical at the club. Both the players are around the age of 18 years and 19 years, and they are both part of the young player plan of the club. Boehly had already signed teenagers like Carney Chukwuemeka, Cesare Casadei, and Gabriel Slonina last summer. It had crossed the £52m mark for signing young players. Furthermore, Santos and Fofana would stretch that number till £80m, which is a serious investment on a couple of very young players. They might not get a starting position in the team right away.

Though Chelsea would be open to loaning them out to different teams for them to gain the experience that they need. Sweeping up good and talented players is always a good point. But not having a plan for them can backfire on the team eventually. Especially those young players who are making a big move to a new country with a lot of expectations. The club have to make sure that the Academy players and these young players don’t get in each other’s way. They both should be given proper time to grow to their full potential.
