Big summer transfer window for West Ham

West Ham United

After West Ham confirmed sacking of David Moyes this season the club started to make big moves. David Moyes was sacked despite winning silverware for West Ham. The main reason of sacking was said to be slow style of play of the manager. West Ham have now announced Julen Lopetegui as replacement for David Moyes. Lopetegui who managed to save Wolves from relegation is a well known face in England. The Former Real Madrid manager ended up leaving Wolves after a clash with the management. The lack of signing and ineffective signings were the main reason for the clash. After his appointment we can expect Big summer transfer window from West Ham.

West Ham to make signings to being their Big Summer transfer window

West Ham are working on early-window deals to sign Championship stars Callum O’Hare and Jacob Greaves, sources have told Football Insider. The Hammers are in the market for British players. This is due to the Premier League’s rules which state eight members of the squad must be homegrown.

Football Insider revealed last month technical director Tim Steidten has drawn up a list of domestic targets. Ahead of the transfer window reopening as the club prepares to lose multiple homegrown players this summer. Moreover attacking midfielder O’Hare and defender Greaves would fit the bill for West Ham. After all the pair have enjoyed excellent seasons in the Championship with Coventry City and Hull City, both of which just missed out on the play-offs.

It looks as though Lopetegui could well be that man, with O’Hare and Greaves potentially being two of his first signings once the transfer window reopens. Football Insider revealed last month that O’Hare will leave Coventry on a free. His contract expires at the end of June this year after the 26-year-old has scored 10 goals and laid on four assists this season.

Greaves, meanwhile, has been a standout player at centre-back for Hull during this campaign. Moreover Football Insider revealing the Tigers are looking for a fee in the region of £15million to let him leave.
