TuttoMercato journalist Giacomo Iacobellis reports that the Gunners have renewed their interest in Arthur Melo. They tried to acquire Arthur on loan in January the bid was unsuccessful. However, it seems that Juventus would like Gabriel in any possible deal.
Another report by Tuttosport, says that Gabriel is ‘very much liked’ by Juventus. Juventus are eagerly looking for Giorgino Chiellini’s replacement.
Is Arthur really important in Arsenal’s playing setup?
As Chris Davison says that back in January this transfer would have been fruitful. It would have been a ‘low-risk’ deal as he says. However, he says that now the situation has changed and he is ‘not too keen’ on the transfer.
The Brazilian is now valued between £8.4m-£12.7m as reported by CIES Football Observatory. Arthur has not got enough game time this season. Moreover, in the matches he had played he has been successful in scoring just one goal and providing a sole assist.
His overall goal contribution is also not said to be great. Moreover, his style of play matches that of Arsenal’s other players like Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey.
