If Gareth Southgate becomes the Man United manager, he will start his duty after his Euro 2024 campaign with England ends. Additionally, with Thomas Tuchel set to leave Bayern Munich after this season ends, the former Chelsea manager would love a move back to the Premier League. Robert De Zerbi is also considered a managerial option. However, it depends on the manager’s decision and if he is ready to move away from Brighton. According to reports, another manager who would love to take up the managerial role at Old Trafford is Graham Potter.
While speaking about Potter as a potential Man United manager, football journalist Ben Jacobs said,
“The connection between Gareth Southgate and Manchester United would be presuming everything gets done with Dan Ashworth because of their time working together at the FA. But the connection between Potter and Manchester United is INEOS and the fact that he was considered for Nice.”
INEOS had considered Potter to manage French club Nice as they are wholly the owners of the club. As a result, it could be a possibility that Graham Potter comes to Manchester United.
