Sadio Mane has decided to leave Liverpool this summer

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Sadio Mane has decided to leave Liverpool this season.

Therefore, this would mean that Mane played his last game for the Reds against Real Madrid in the UCL final yesterday.

When asked before the match about his future at the club he had replied that he would decide after the final.

Therefore, it was thought that if Liverpool wins the match, Mane would stay at Anfield.

However, failing to do that Mane has now decided to leave the club.

Mane played the full 90 minutes in the final against Real.
The Senegalese international joined the club back in 2016.

He was one of the first major signings after Jurgen Klopp took over the Merseyside club. He was bought from Southampton for a healthy transfer fee of £34million.

The 30-year-old has been instrumental in the team’s meteoric rise over the years.

He has played 269 games for the Reds and scored 120 times.

During that period he helped the team in winning six trophies that including a Champions League.

Mane undoubtedly is one of the top forwards at this time. Moreover, he is one of the frontrunners for winning the Ballon D’Or this year.

Also, he played a crucial role in Senegal winning the African Nations cup this year.

Moreover, he also played a key role in Liverpool winning the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup. Therefore, he has very well established himself as one of the legends of Liverpool. He will also be wanted by the top teams of Europe after he leaves Anfield.

FC Bayern are strong contenders – but it’s still open and not completed as Sadio wanted to wait for the final.
