Pundit Robbie Earle says £35m Arsenal star can be a problem now for the club

Pundit Robbie Earle believes that Arsenal star can be a problem for the club now. Robbie was pointing out on the performance of Arsenal man Oleksandr Zinchenko after Liverpool‘s draw. The Gunners pick up a point at Merseyside even after taking the lead at first. Gabriel Magalhaes scored a well-placed header in the fourth minute to break the deadlock. However, their celebrations were short-lived as Mo Salah equalised with a magical strike.

The Egyptian made a perfectly timed run behind the defence and was picked by Trent Alexander Arnold. But Salah had it all to do because he was to deal only with Zinchenko. Yet he managed to beat the Ukranian easily and scoring past David Raya at near post. Speaking on The 2 Robbies Podcast, Earle argued with Robbie Mustoe over whether Arsenal are a better side this season. Earlier made a statement that Arteta and his men are indeed better. However, he did raise questions on Zinchenko.

The back two are better. Zinchenko, bit of an issue. [They] might need to worry about that.

I think Havertz and Odegaard, not playing particularly well, but better. They knew what they had to do today. Wide players, Martinelli and Saka are not quite on their game but they’re making sure they didn’t lose the game.

Last year, they were losing these games when they weren’t quite at it.”

The defensive work against Salah was literally poor by the Ukranian. Though, he enjoyed a brilliant spell last year after his £35m switch. He is not looking the same this year. Still he remains an integral part of the squad and for Arteta’s plan. He is often drifted into the midfield to provide an extra cover for the central players and numerical superiority.
