We today bring you all the latest updates and gossip regarding Chelsea as the transfer window is in full flow.

Bayern Munich completed the signing of the centre back Matthijs de Ligt from the Serie A club Juventus. However, before Bayern, many believed the player will eventually join the West London club. But since the Bavarian club held an interest in the Dutch defender, Chelsea never stood out.

Chelsea robbed off Matthijs de Ligt as he signs for Bayern

The Turin club accepted a bid of £68 million from the Munich club. Also, with the completion of this deal, Matthijs de Ligt will be the 2nd highest transfer of the club in monetary terms. As per reports, de Ligt will sign a 5 year deal for the Bundesliga club. However, as a result of this deal, Chelsea will have to look at other options available in the market.

On the other hand, a Chelsea academy graduate, Levi Colwill might leave the club. Chelsea loaned him out to Huddersfield Town last season where he had an impressive stint. According to The Athletic, ‘if Chelsea sign one more defender this summer then the youngster will look to leave Stamford Bridge before the window slams shut.’

Armando Broja interests

Another youngster who might exit through the doors of Stamford Bridge is Armando Broja. Premier League clubs including West Ham and Everton as well as outside PL, Lazio registered interest in the player. Broja also had an impressive loan spell for Southampton last season and his stocks are rocketing right now. According to the reports, Chelsea valued Broja at £57.8 million.

Although the club could coup good money from the sale of the 20-year old outside PL, he might opt against it. They are also looking at the opportunity to sign Declan Rice from West Ham, an interested party for Broja. If they don’t want to bolster their direct rivals, they might lose out on the Rice deal.
