Arsenal’s former midfield sensation, Matteo Guendouzi, who made waves at the Emirates under Unai Emery, is on the verge of a significant transfer.
Guendouzi’s journey appears to be taking him to Serie A, with Lazio finalizing an £15.45 million transfer deal.
The Gunners inserted a sell-on clause when they sold Guendouzi to Marseille last summer, and this shrewd move is now bearing fruit. They are expected to receive 15 percent of the transfer fee. Equivalent to a welcome £2.3 million injection into their budget.

Following a successful loan spell at Marseille, which culminated in a permanent transfer, Guendouzi continued to excel in Ligue 1. Consequently, piquing the interest of Lazio in Serie A.

The club has actively invested in its future, making significant signings totaling over £210 million during the summer transfer window. Aston Villa’s Interest
Matteo Guendouzi’s journey could have taken a different turn, with Aston Villa and former Arsenal manager Unai Emery considering a reunion with the midfielder. Villa expressed interest in bolstering their midfield department during the January transfer window, eyeing Guendouzi’s talents.
However, the move proved economically unfeasible, leading Villa to secure Youri Tielemans instead.
Furthermore, Arsenal have also profited from West Ham’s £20 million signing of Konstantinos Mavropanos from Stuttgart. The Gunners had sold Mavropanos to the German club for £3 million. However, a smartly negotiated sell-on clause yielded an additional £2 million for Arsenal.
