Thomas Tuchel wants Anthony Barry at Bayern Munich

Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel wants Blues asistant coach Anthony Barry at Bayern Munich.

Tuchel is recently announced as new manager of Bayern Munich. The timing of Julian Nagelsmann’s shacking was shocker to the footballing world. The German Giants are going to face Borrusia Dortmund and Manchester City in the upcoming weeks.

Tuchel was out of job since September 2022 and Bayern didn’t waste much time for his appointment. Many raised question over his sacking in Chelsea as it was not a right decision by Co-owner Todd Boehly. Tuchel should have been given more time as he engineered a comprehensive Champions League Triumph in 2021.

However, now Tuchel wants to bring Former English midfielder at Allianz Arena. Tuchel’s time at Chelsea was supported by Barry.

Although, Barry continues to serve as assistant manager to Graham Potter at Stanford Bridge. The German made his admiration for Barry in public and wants the Englishman at Bayern Munich.

Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, Tuchel said :-

“My coaching staff wasn’t prepared either, so a big thank you to their families for their flexibility.

“Arno Michels and Zsolt Low, who have been working with me for over ten years, will be there. We’re hoping to add Anthony Barry, who is currently at Chelsea.

On his pursuit, he added :-

“We’re fighting for that and we’re confident because it’s my absolute wish.”

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea have recieved a offer from Bayern Munich for Barry. However, the Blues hierarchy are not happy with Tuchel for making his interest public.

Barry was brought to Chelsea by Frank Lampard and remained part of coaching staff under both Tuchel and Potter.

However, it remains to be seen wheather Barry would be willing to make the move to Germany.
