Chelsea are looking to sign new midfield players which would eventually mean some notable players leaving. With them signing new players would mean current stars being surplus for the team. Chelsea are reportedly closing in Enzo Fernandez’s deal. They are paying a hefty amount of £ 112 million for the player. The Blues are to continue to pay the release clause amount in installments. Due to this hefty amount, some players may have to leave Chelsea to find new clubs. Jorginho and N’Golo Kante could be playing their last season for Chelsea. The Blues would be looking to offload the salaries of some of these big stars. Their days at Stamford Bridge could be numbered after the arrival of Fernandez from Benfica.
Some Chelsea stars could leave after Enzo Fernandez joins the club
Jorginho have been a reliable player for the Blues since joining the club from Napoli. He have been a regular starter and a very reliable player from the penalty spot. However, with Enzo Fernandez’s arrival at Stamford Bridge Jorginho’s abilities would be a surplus for the club. The youngster can anchor the midfield and have an amazing box-to-box skills. All these abilities could see Jorginho being dropped to the bench. The Italian’s contract is due to expire at the end of this season. This could very well be his last season playing for the Blues. Similar to the Italian, N’Golo Kante’s contract is also due to end this season. The Frenchman is one of the highest earners at Stamford Bridges. His injuries have been a problem for Chelsea for some time now. This might have a reason why the Blues higher-ups were a bit hesitant to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Denis Zakaria could also be seen leaving Chelsea after this season. Signing a central midfielder would only reduce Loftus-Cheek’s chances of being back to his preferred position. He could leave the Blues to get more regular time at some other club. All these players can leave Chelsea after his season with the arrival of Enzo Fernandez.
