Bayern Munich is now going to open contract talks with players Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernandez. Oftentimes, Bayern has found itself scrambling to extend contracts of the players who have run down their contracts. Consequently, Bayern have lost a few good players because of this. Those days seem to be long gone now. It looks like Bayern hierarch have learned from their mistakes of the past

Bild(as captured by iMiaSanMia) is reporting that Bayern wants to start the discussion as soon as possible. As the reports states:

Bayern could soon open contract talks with Hernández and Pavard (both expire 2024). From now on, the club wants to start talks more than one year before expiration, so there would still be a chance to sell the player if they reject a new deal and avoid losing them for free.

Bayern wants to open contract talks as early as possible

Benjamin Parvard’s contract expires n 2024 and so does Lucas Hernandez’s contract. Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann has expressed his desire to keep Parvard in the club this season. The arrival of Noussair Mazraoui from Ajax meant that Parvard’s game time would be affected. However, that has not happened with Parvard starting the opening two matches for Bayern Munich. Moreover, he has scored two goals in the two outings in the Bundesliga.

He is repaying the manager’s faith in him in earnest with such great performances. Chelsea and Manchester United had expressed an interest in the availability of the player. However, no deals materialized and now, Parvard is set to extend his contract with the Bavarians.

Lucas Hernandez on the other hand has been pretty non committal about his future at the club. In an interview for Sport1, when asked about his future with Bayern, Hernandez said:

“Let’s see! I’m very happy and grateful to be playing for FC Bayern. We will discuss everything else in due course”

There was a lot of interest from La Liga sides to sign the player this season. Now, only time will tell whether Hernandez will sign the dotted lines of a new contract with the Bavarians or not.
