Ellis Harrison has made a permanent switch to Port Vale as confirmed by the Port Vale official website. Harrison is a Welsh international player who plays as a center-forward. Harrison began his career under Darrell Clarke during his time at Bristol Rovers. During his time at Rovers, the duo managed to win promotion to the EFL in 2015.
Harrison played with Bristol Rovers for eight years before making a move to Ipswich Town. He made his debut for Rovers at the tender age of 17. In the 2018 season, Harrison made a switch to Ipswich Town who were playing in the championship side. However, his career at Ipswich Town was hampered by injuries. The following year, Portsmouth bought him in another big purchase which saw him return to League One.

Speaking about the addition of Harrison to the squad, Clarke said:
“He’s a physical presence, he can run, and he has a lot of excellent elements to his game, especially once we have the hunger back into his game and he’ll be a very good talent for us. When I had him at Bristol Rovers, we ended up selling him for a large fee to Ipswich, so I know very well about all his strengths, his character, how he is around the dressing room and that he is a winner. He also brings with him that pedigree at the League One level, and I know he is coming in hungry and ready to give his all. I know he’ll liven up some of the group too with his bad banter as well. So, we’re really pleased to have been able to have gotten this bit of business done”
Port Vale have also managed to sign Jack Stevens on a season-long loan deal. Stevens has made 30 appearances for Oxford United the last season. Moreover, Stevens also extended his contract with Oxford United until the end of the 2024-25 season
