Defensa Central, A Spanish outlet, has stated that to sign Takefusa Kubo, the Real Madrid forward, Real Betis will have to improve on its current offer. However, Takefusa will likely join the Basque club this transfer window.
Takefusa Kubo arrived at Santiago Bernabeu with a lot of hype and excitement attached to him. Real Madrid had beaten their arch-rivals Barcelona for the signature of the Japanese international. Kubo is a former La Masia player. However, he had to leave Barcelona due to a breach of the FIFA rules. When the winger joined Real Madrid, he seemed like a solution for their offensive unit. However, that has not been the case.
Kubo has struggled for minutes with the first team in the club. Los Blancos have loaned him out four times. He has had loans to clubs such as Villareal, Getafe, and RCD Mallorca. His most successful loan stint has come at RCD Mallorca. Now, the 21-year-old is back at Real Madrid.
Real Madrid have reportedly turned down an offer from Real Sociedad for winger Takefusa Kubo
However, it seems unlikely that Kubo will be in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad in the 2022/23 season. He is rated highly by Real Madrid. And a Real Sociedad offer could see him going on a fifth loan spell away from Madrid.
The Basque club have attempted to sign Takefusa Kubo on loan on two occasions. But they have been unsuccessful each time. The third time’s the charm for Sociedad as they hope to be lucky in the summer transfer window and sign his services.
Mikel Oyarzabal is nursing a long-term injury. This means he will be unavailable for the first half of the 2022/23 season. Meanwhile, Adnan Januzaj has departed from Sociedad. This means Kubo has emerged as a target to bolster the attacking unit of the club. But, their first offer for the forward has been rejected by Real Madrid. Real Madrid will be looking for better proposals from Sociedad. But, it seems highly likely now that Kubo will go on another loan in the summer transfer window.
