Former Manchester United star Gary Neville admits the club’s sluggish transfer business is a matter of worry for him.

The English summer transfer window already opened on the 10th of June but the international window will open on July 1 where clubs can sign players from France, Germany, Italy et al. Although it is just the first week of the summer transfer window, but the European elites already started reinforcing.

On the other hand, Manchester United is yet to announce a marquee signing or a decent name to add to their squad for the upcoming season. Their former right-back and club legend Gary Neville seems worried about the situation and admitted the same.

Manchester United Transfer window

The 20-time league champions will kick off their pre-season against rivals Liverpool on July 12. The red side of Manchester will also start pre-season training before this month’s end under the new boss Ten Hag.

Reports linked the Red Devils with numerous star players but their prime target will be Barcelona midfielder, Frenkie de Jong. The new boss also identified him as a leading target this summer and will be looking to reunite with the former Ajax star. However, Man United made no formal bids to FC Barcelona for the Dutchman. Furthermore, things may get complex as de Jong previously stated he wants to stay at the Camp Nou outfit.

Gary Neville took to Twitter and wrote the following: “I know early in the window but it’s worrying that United are struggling to get business done. The others seem set and ready yet United can’t get moving. ETH needs his group together asap to mould them. Bringing them in late will only make it harder for him! Fingers crossed, it happens soon!”

On the other hand, reports linked Christian Eriksen to Man United on a free transfer. Other than that, reports also linked Porto duo Vitinha and Fabio Vieira as well.
