Newcastle and Matt Targett’s future

Matt Targett is one of the players who joined Newcastle on loan back in January. Since then the player has done more than his job as Newcastle comfortably pulled out of the relegation zone.

His future remains uncertain as Newcastle is still exploring more options. Eddie Howe has an agreement in place to seal the deal permanently for 15 million.

Targett has played 16 times for the toons and if signed permanently he’d be a smart signing for them. The Magpies in recent times have attracted some very serious talents such as Bruno Guimares, and Tripper and must be hoping to pull another deal of that same magnitude.

Targett has impressed on the pitch but in his last 3 appearances, he only managed to provide one assist. This is something that has been holding back Eddie Howe.

Improvements at Newcastle

Newcastle’s future looks good not only with solid financial backing but also with serious talent. Eddie howe has brought a revolution to make, everyone, alive. Joelinton dropping to midfield plays like someone whose wishes got true. Almiron and Willock are scoring goals. The defense of Newcastle is so much improved with Dubravka pulling some world-class saves. Tripper and Guimares are running the show and so on.

This team and the game that they play are something to remember. Just after the takeover in the stands, some fans have raised a placard ‘We want a team that tries” well this team is doing more than that.

In another 2 to 3 years Newcastle will be able to bring European nights into the St. James Park. Some reinforcements like in strike and a little in defense would be enough to make its core strong like the top 6. Miracles happen but they don’t happen overnight. It takes dedication, patience, and most importantly perseverance.

Another significant thing to notice this season was Newcastle played miserably against the top 4 but held tight against the rest of the side. This is a sign of massive improvement that has happened in a very short period.
