Manchester United Make Bid For Osimehn

Manchester United have made a 90 million pound move for Nigerian striker Victor Osimehn. The striker scored 14 goals and registered 2 assists as he led Napoli to an early-season title charge and 3rd position this season.

Manchester United are in need of a striker. Edinson Cavani is leaving, and Ronaldo’s future remains in the air with no Champions League football. Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford were out of form, and Mason Greenwood’s legal troubles led to a dearth of reliable attacking options up front. The Red Devils would like to get a prolific young striker to improve their team. Osimehn certainly fits this profile.

New manager Erik Ten Hag has a knack for improving young players, and Osimehn has shown great potential. He was a goalscoring machine at Lille, before a 70 million pound move to Naples. Despite his injury concerns, he has been a key part of Napoli’s team. It will certainly take a lot of money to bring him to Old Trafford, and the lack of Champions League may not favour United.

They also have a number of other positions to strengthen, particularly at right-back, centre-back and defensive midfield. It may be wiser to spread the money across these positions instead of splashing it all on one player. But on the other hand, Osimehn is probably a player who can take up the level of the team up a notch on his own. Known for his dribbling, pace and instinctive finishing, the striker can cause problems for any defence in the world.

Rivals In The Race Too

Arsenal are another club who are interested. They too will be short on attacking options following the departures of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexander Lacazette and Edward Nketiah.

Both the clubs will benefit significantly from his signature. It would be a strong statement to secure his services. With Erling Halland

on his way to Manchester City, a potentially tasty rivalry between the two young Manchester strikers may be born, should United be able to convince him.
