Manchester City U18s thrashed away Newcastle as they lifted the trophy in style. Manchester United U18s sent 13 goals past the Newcastle keeper as the teenagers celebrated being champions for the second time, consecutively. City has already won the Premier League North Title this week. They won the competition after second- placed Liverpool lost to Nottingham Forest this week.

The City team have only lost three matches this season. While, Newcastle sit at the bottom, being able to win just three matches all season. William Dickson and Nico O’ Reilly both ran riot over Newcastle. Both of them scored hattricks for the winning team this afternoon. While Carlos Borges and Josh Adam were also on the scoresheet, scoring a brace.

Kian Breckin, Adedire Mebude and Matthew Whittingham all got on the scoresheet to complete the rout of the Magpies. City players started with their title celebrations after the final whistle was blown. It is a second title in a row for the youngsters.

They could face either Premier League South title winners Southampton or West Ham in the national final for the final prize. The teenagers still have to play Burnley and Sunderland before the crucial outing. They would be going for their third title. Their last trophy came last in 2015-16 season.

The young side was blazing guns right from the start. The majority share of the game was played in Newcastle’s half.

Newcastle did not get any chances and did not test the City’s goalkeeper. Their first chance came when a freekick was awarded to them but they could not capitalize.

Borges was the pick of the players against the Magpies. He looked sharp on the pitch. Moreover, it was not long before he got his brace, just thirty minutes into the game.
