Andrea Berta is expected to make some big signings during the summer transfer window.
New signings under Andrea Berta
Arsenal‘s new sporting director will be in his first transfer window in the summer. He and his side are expected to spend around £300 million in this summer market.
The Gunners have been looking to add some new players in to the team from the last two seasons. Bringing in a new striker will be their main target this time also. They have previously failed to sign a new forward in the winter transfer window as well. The fans will be hoping to see their side do some good business in June.
Six possible players Arsenal could sign
Nico Williams (Athletic Bilbao): £48m
Following his outstanding performance at Euro 2024, Arsenal engaged Athletic Bilbao and Williams’ camp. And it seems this hasn’t changed Mikel Arteta’s mind that Williams is the player he needs. And not just to his squad, but into the starting eleven.
Martin Zubimendi (Real Sociedad): £51m
Zubimendi is almost a done deal this June. But while it isn’t done it may be the most done deal of all of these ones.
Joan Garcia (Espanyol): £25m
Arsenal had a couple of bids for Garcia turned down last year. They eventually settled on a loan deal for Neto from Bournemouth. But they’re confident of landing their man a year later.
Jorrel Hato (Ajax): £40m
The signing of a left-back for a club about to lose probably three of them would be quite the no-brainer.
Matheus Cunha (Wolves): £62m
Matheus Cunha has the stamp of someone who wants to compete for titles. Berta’s arrival has placed the Gunners in ‘pole position’ to acquire Cunha, who signed for Atlético Madrid in 2021.
Benjamin Sesko (RB Leipzig): £58m
Sesko has only converted three of his 17 goals in Germany from the penalty spot. And his transfer from RB Salzburg to RB Leipzig before he presumably ventures to bigger and better engagements make him an intriguing acquisition if not a better one.
