Thomas Tuchel is now the new manager of England. He wants to take some Chelsea staff with him. Enzo Maresca has made his feelings clear. The Three Lions have been on the wrong end of trophy-winning for a long time now. Their last major honor was in the form of 1966 FIFA World Cup. In fact, they have never even won the EUROs. Although, they did come very close by qualifying for back-to-back finals. But many believe that could have done a lot more with the squad they possess. As such, Gareth Southgate put an end to his role with the national team. So, the former Chelsea manager is now taking reins with the Three Lions.
Thomas Tuchel ambitious with new role
The German manager has made his intentions clear. He wishes to win the World Cup with England. We know exactly what he is capable of. He did a great job with the Blues. He would help them to their second-ever UCL win. Then, he would also perform well with Bayern. But, it would not work out. Thomas Tuchel was very clear that he wished to continue in England. In fact, Man Utd were actually considering to hire him. But now, he has gone on to join the Three Lions.
Enzo Maresca reacts to Tuchel’s demands
The new England manager is eyeing some of Chelsea’s backroom staff. He does not intend to have many people on-board. As per espn, James Melbourne could be leaving the Blues for the national role. As such, Thomas Tuchel would also like goalkeeping coach Hilario on-board. Enzo Maresca has spoken on the ‘raid’. The Italian manager said that they are willing to let the staff go. At the same time, he would play it very cool. It quite clearly goes on to show how much faith he has in his abilities. Nonetheless, Chelsea will have to make some staff changes soon.
