What’s next for Pep Lijnders after Liverpool?

Clubs like Ajax and Besiktas were keen on signing Liverpool assistant manager. The Dutch giants are undergoing a very tough period in their footballing history. Now, another name emerging in the race are Austrian champions RB Salzburg.

The Red Bull club have won 10 straight titles in Austria, although trail Sturm Graz by two points heading into the final game of the season on Sunday. Having employed interim coach Onur Cinel after sacking Gerhard Struber in April, Salzburg are looking for a new manager this summer. Moreover, Pep is also said to be keen on the job.

With previous RB managers Roger Schmidt, Adi Hutter, Marco Rose and Jesse Marsch since being given chances in bigger leagues, Lijnders reportedly thinks it could be the ideal position for him.
