Manchester United keen to put pen and paper with Tosin Adarabioyo at a bargain!

Manchester United

Man United are reportedly interested in Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo. Adarabioyo’s contract is set to expire this summer by June 30 and he will be available as a free agent there onwards.

A great news for the Red Devils as they can start the first summer transfer window under INEOS with a bargain. Jason Wilcox, Man United’s newly appointed Technical Director, will be using his contact book to secure the signing.

Wilcox was the Sporting Director at Southampton. He joined the Red Devils as their new Technical Director last month. Chief Executive Omar Berrada is also set to join United from Man City. Meanwhile, United have also enquired about Dan Ashworth from Newcastle.

Red Devils to restructure their backline!

Manchester United’s backline has no doubt witnessed a massive downfall. A plethora of injuries saw the unavailability of any real center-back for Ten Hag’s side. The Red Devils have conceded 55 goals in 35 league games this season which is 3 more than the amount of goals they scored! No wonder that United are focused on revamping their defense before the start of new season.

Jonny Evans and Raphael Varane are believed to leave as free agents at the end of June. Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof will be entering their final year of their contracts. One of the two is likely to depart.

Tosin Adarabioyo to Man United: A Challenge?

Red Devils aren’t the only club ready to approach Adarabioyo. Reports suggest that Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle are ready to rival United.

However, United may have an edge as Wilcox has an understanding with Adarabioyo since his time at Man City’s academy.

Free Transfers: The way to go for United?

While Man United have become infamous for paying big bucks for players who won’t deliver, the Red Devils have enjoyed with free transfers over the past decade.

The signings of Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 2016 and Edinson Cavani in 2020 have proven quite fruitful for the Red Devils. Meanwhile, big money signings like Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Casemiro have failed to put on a show.

Adarabioyo’s signing at a bargain could prove to be just what the Red Devils desire since he is a promising player who might help bolster United’s backline.
