Pundit Chris Sutton is very much impressed with Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister as he backed Liverpool to win the Mersyside derby this weekend.
Speaking to BBC Sports, Sutton predicted that Klopp’s side will win 2:0 against Everton at Anfield. Reds will be hoping to get back to their winning momentum in this current campaign.
Both Szoboszlai and Mac Allister has been brilliant of Reds after joining the club this summer. Many have stated that Hungarian international has been the best signing in the Premier League so far this season.
However, Mac Allister has been struggling to find his real form at the Mersyside. He was signed from Premier League rivals Brighton & Hove Albion after a impressive World Cup 2022 at Qatar.
The Argentine international has been not playing in his natural position in this campaign. Mac Allister is given defensive role, which is not his natural position.
Sutton lauded both Szoboszlai and Mac Allister
Before Liverpool’s clash against Everton this weekend, Chris Sutton lauded both Szoboszlai and Mac Allister.
Speaking on BBC Sports, Sutton said :-
“Everton’s overall record against Liverpool is pretty wretched, with one win home or away since 2010, and I can’t see much changing this time.
“I don’t think the Reds will run away with it but I’ve been very happy by Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister in their midfield, and they have got so many good attackers. It just feels like they will be too strong for the Toffees.
“Liverpool have beaten Everton by two goals at Anfield in each of the past two seasons, so I am going to go with that same scoreline. I would have gone with a goal for Everton but my daughter is telling me 2-0 again, so I am going to listen to her.”
