Recent news confirms West Ham is still partaking in the £46 million deal for Mohammed Kudus. And with them, it becomes very clear that the young Ajax player has become a hot topic.
The Hammers have failed to make an offer for the midfielder beforehand due them “undervaluing” the player according to Ajax. But West Ham are still conversing in hopes of acquiring the 23 year old as he has shown his desire to change clubs.
Chelsea have also shown their interest in the young man. Having bid a solid £40 million before the Irons interfered.
Brighton was at one point certain to be Kudus’ future club as they have reached a agreement with his club. However unable to meet his personal demands, the seagulls were unable to acquire the Ajax player.
Even Arsenal have shown their interest in the young man, and were considered a the favourites as well. Unfortunately, the club, while still interested, is placing its focus elsewhere.
What the Ajax player brings to West Ham and others
The interest surrounding the young man is not without cause. As his only apparent flaw is his lack of Premier league experience.
Indeed, the player has mastery over both long and short passes, can efficiently tackle and dribble through most opponents, and is a very capable shooter.
Subsequently, the season had multiple injuries announced. With Chelsea’s Nkunku and Brighton’s Jakub Moder’s injuries provide ample reason to chase after new midfielders. Being a competent midliner with exceptional offensive capabilities, Kudus seems to be the preferred option.
It is abundantly clear that the Ajax player is the full package, not only covering the weaknesses of the club he will join but strengthening them as well. And it would seem Ajax are aware of that as well, as they have considered prolonging the player’ contract until 2024.
For now, the matter is still in Kudus’ hand, and no matter his choice, his future seems to be a bright one.
